'Football without Origi is nothing' - Liverpool man gets guard of honour and Kop banner

The cult hero is heading for the exit door with a move to Serie A champions AC Milan reportedly agreed, brining an end to his Anfield career which lasted just shy of eight years.

Origi was injured for his Anfield goodbye as the Reds beat Wolves 3-1, but he may yet have one last impact in the Champions League final with the ailment reported as a 'minor muscle injury'.

His impact won't be lost on either his teammates or the fans though, with the rest of Jurgen Klopp's squad giving the Belgian striker a guard of honour to say goodbye.

The Kop also held up an amusing but heartfelt banner with the words 'Football without Origi is nothing'.

One of the 27-year-old's greatest ever nights came in front of that exact end of the Anfield crowd, when he scored twice against Barcelona as Liverpool recorded an extraordinary semi-final Champions League comeback from 3-0 down.

A 4-0 win on the night saw the Reds progress to the final in Madrid, where Origi again scored as Liverpool became European champions for a sixth time with a 2-0 win over Tottenham.

He's also been a constant thorn in the side of Everton, scoring six goals in Merseyside derbies, the most of any overseas player in the history of the fixture.

The Belgian has been a bit-part player since signing from Lille in 2014, but his impact has been vast, scoring a number of crucial goals to help Liverpool achieve success under Klopp.

Following his guard of honour, Origi was given a copy of 'The Champions Wall' displaying his impact on Liverpool's trophy count, given to club owner John Henry and other members of Fenway Sports Group.

He also walked out onto the pitch with the recently claimed FA Cup, as Liverpool paraded their two domestic trophies won this season.#

Liverpool can add one more trophy to their brilliant collection when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Could there be a final hurrah for Origi in Paris?
