Footage of Eriksen's emotional return to the Denmark camp

marca.com, 24 March 2022, 18:27
Is back in the national team squad

Many of the Denmark national team players feared the worse when they saw Christian Eriksen hit the deck during their Euro 2020 match against Finland, but the midfielder was fortunately able to survive the heart scare he suffered and is now playing again for Brentford.

The midfielder has been called up by the Denmark national team again too, for their March friendlies against the Netherlands and Serbia on March 26 and March 29 respectively.

As Eriksen arrived at the Denmark camp, there was a very emotional scene as he greeted his international teammates, many of whom were there that day in Copenhagen when he came close to losing his life.

He spoke to his teammates one by one, having an extra special hug with Simon Kjaer, who was so influential in saving Eriksen that day.

He now plays with an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) and has made three appearances so far for Brentford.
