Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe found himself on the receiving end of criticism despite his side fighting back to earn a 2-1 win over Sekhukhune United on Tuesday.
Fans who reacted after the fight-back, which saw Bucs register a win in the Premier Soccer League after draws against Maritzburg United and Royal AM, felt that Makaringe should not be starting at all because he has failed to prove why he deserves his place.
Linda Mntambo and Kabelo Dlamini scored for the home side at Orlando Stadium after they had conceded a goal in the first half that was scored by Sekhukhune's Seth Parusnath.
After the win, Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi, without analysing the individual performances of his players, was, however, satisfied with the general performance as he quickly shifted focus to the upcoming Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs.
"Let's move into the next match, the most important match in the PSL calendar," Ncikazi said. "Happy that we won today [Tuesday] with every adversity that we faced, let's move into the next one."
