Ajax's game against Feyenoord was called off in the 56th minute with the Dutch giants 3-0 down at home to their major rivals.
And the aftermath has seen the Eredivisie outfit sack Mislintat after a lack of support from the board.
An official statement from the club read: "Ajax has ended the collaboration with Director of Football Sven Mislintat with immediate effect.
"The lack of broad support within the organisation is the reason behind this decision."
There have been serious underlying problems at Ajax this season, culminating in fans revolting on Sunday.

They find themselves 14th in the Eredivisie already despite being one of the favourites to win the league.
There was huge upheaval in the summer after the departures of Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus - both to West Ham - as well as Jurrien Timber to Arsenal.
But there was also plenty of money spent by Mislintat in his role as director of football, including big-cash signings Georges Mikautadze, Carlos Forbs and Chupa Akpom, who have not quite clicked yet.
Mislintat worked at Arsenal in a similar role after leaving Borussia Dortmund with a reputation for scouting top talents at a young age.

However, he lasted just 18 months in a job at the Emirates before he was dismissed.
In total, the German signed eight players while with the Gunners though none of them remain at the club and have accumulated a total loss of £103million.
Ajax fans broke into the stadium on Sunday after flares were thrown onto the pitch.
That forced the game against Feyenoord, known as De Klassieker in the Netherlands, to be abandoned.
Hooligans targeted one of the entrances to the Amsterdam Arena, which was left completely trashed.
Riot police intervened and had to use tear gas to disperse the crowds while Feyenoord players and staff had to lock themselves in the away changing room.
"This type of behaviour is not a part of Ajax," said a club statement.
"Ajax's management and supervisory board distance themselves from the misconduct that led to the suspension of the match against Feyenoord and the disturbances afterwards.
"Disappointment about the season's poor start is understandable but can never be the cause of disorderly conduct. We apologise to everyone who has felt unsafe or has been affected in any other way."
