Everton vs Arsenal LIVE: Gunners in good form and look to pile misery on Dyche

talksport.com, 11 September 2023, 13:02
Arsenal will be aiming to continue their impressive start to the Premier League season when they travel to face Everton this weekend.

The Gunners have not lost so far in this campaign and return to action after the international break following a 3-1 win over Manchester United.

Mikel Arteta's side stepped up late on in that game, sending the Emirates into raptures after what seemed to be a significant victory.

But it will be important to back that up and they now face the Toffees who have struggled from the off this term.

Sean Dyche will be far from pleased with his side's performances so far as they are winless after four games and already look destined for yet another relegation battle.

Everton vs Arsenal: How to follow

This Premier League clash will take place on Sunday, September 17.

Dwight McNeil has also returned from a spell on the sidelines and will be aiming for a start after coming off the bench last time out.

Jack Harrison, Dele Alli and Seamus Coleman could remain out with the latter the closest to returning to the line-up.

As for Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus' comeback saw him score against United and he will compete with Eddie Nketiah for the No 9 spot.

Kai Havertz continues to struggle in midfield and with Fabio Vieira impressing off the bench, he could lose his position for this one.

Jurrien Timber and Mohamed Elneny remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

Everton vs Arsenal: What has been said?

Arsenal's £105million signing Declan Rice has opened up about how he was jokingly welcomed to the club by Arteta.

He said: "My first time I was there, on the Sunday, the lads weren't in and I came out of the physio room and Arteta has little things he does.

"He put a sticker on me saying 'hello, I'm the new person!'. He walked in and he just put it on my chest.

"I've got to wear as the gaffer has put it on me!
