The Lionesses came away with a 5-0 victory at St Mary's Stadium to wrap up their Group A campaign in style, breaking the record for most goals scored in a group stage campaign with a staggering 14.
Goals from Fran Kirby, Beth Mead, an Alessia Russo brace and a Kelsie Burrows own goal earned another huge victory.
As a result Sarina Wiegman's side will face either Denmark or Spain next Wednesday as the European Championship moves into the quarter final stage.
England dominated in the first half and could have taken the lead through Lucy Bronze who sent a massive opportunity wide of the mark.
Thankfully the Lionesses didn't have to wait long to make the breakthrough as Kirby found the top corner of the net with a wonderful curled effort after 40 minutes.
It took just four minutes for the lead to be doubled as Mead netted her fifth of the competition so far with a low, left-footed effort just before the break, leading commentator Sam Matterface to declare 'the party's really starting now!'.
Discussing Mead's finish, Lianne Sanderson said: "What a goal. I absolutely loved that goal.
"Beth Mead had no time. She controlled it on her right foot, turned it onto her left foot and tucks it in with her left foot. I love goals like that.
"It hasn't been her best half but she's got a goal and she offers so much to this team."
The second half saw England run riot with Alessia Russo scoring with a neat header, before getting her second with a fine finish after 53 minutes.
Fans at St Mary's Stadium were euphoric as they sang 'it's coming home' while shining their phone lights from the stands, but England were far from done.
England made it five as Kelsie Burrows put it into her own net as they played out the final stages of the game in second gear as they cruised into the next round.
Austria also progress into the next round after securing a 1-0 win over Norway, earning a tie with Germany in the quarter-finals.
