The 26-year-old began his career with Ajax under the tutelage of current Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag and made 137 appearances over four seasons before joining Bayern on a free transfer in July 2022.
Mazraoui has since played 55 times for the German giants, although he only started 15 of the club's 34 Bundesliga fixtures in the 2023-24 campaign, with Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer regularly favoured ahead of him at right-back.
The Morocco international has two years remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena and has taken part in pre-season training since the arrival of new head coach Vincent Kompany.
However, Mazraoui has recently been tipped to seek pastures new this summer in search of regular first-team football, and a move to the Premier League has been mooted.
Mazraoui keen to secure Premier League move
According to Sky Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg, both Man United and West Ham are exploring a deal to sign Mazraoui this summer, with the two English teams having recently held concrete talks.
The report adds that Mazraoui is keen to play in the Premier League and Bayern were initially asking for around €30m (£25.3m) for the Moroccan, but they are now 'pushing' to get €20m (£16.9m) to €25m (£21m), while a more realistic price is said to be between €15m (£12.6m) to €20m (£16.9m).
Those reports have since been backed up by Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who claims that Mazraoui is one of many right-backs on the radar of both West Ham and Man United.
Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong and Monaco's Vanderson are two other names on the shortlist for both clubs, while West Ham are also said to be monitoring the future of Man United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bisaska future could determine Mazraoui move?
Sheth has suggested that Man United supporters should keep an eye on the club's right-back situation this summer; the Red Devils may need to generate funds and free up space in their senior squad before they can recruit some of their desired targets, though.
Wan-Bissaka could allegedly hold the key to a potential right-back merry-go-round involving both Ten Hag's men and Julen Lopetegui's troops.
Should Man United win the race for Mazraoui's signature, it has been suggested that West Ham could swoop for Wan-Bissaka, who is now valued at around £15m having now entered the final year of his contract.
However, Wan-Bissaka's future at Old Trafford will remain unclear this summer if West Ham fend of interest from potential suitors to secure the services of Mazraoui.
Wan-Bissaka, 26, has made a total of 190 appearances for Man United in all competitions since joining the club for around £50m in 2017, including 20 Premier League starts last season.
While Wan-Bissaka competed with Diogo Dalot for regular starts at full-back in 2023-24, Vladimir Coufal started 35 times at right-back for West Ham, with Ben Johnson - now at Ipswich Town - acting as cover.
