It all started this time when the 25-year-old replied to a poll by Football Scotland on the Scottish game's best pundits.
Cantwell responded with 'I can tell you (it) isn't Chris Sutton.' His reply instantly sparked a huge reaction from fans.
It did not take long for ex-Chelsea striker Sutton to fire back at his remarks.
The TV pundit used Cantwell's proclivity for TikTok and his former club's treble to turn the screw on the attacker.
Sutton said: "Here is some balanced factual punditry from last season TikTok you may not enjoy…you joined Rangers on a free from the Championship and lost every meaningful game against Celtic and won nothing."

The pair had previously been embroiled in a fued on social media during last season.
The former Norwich star was accused of falling to the ground to easily against Hibernian during a league game, 'making a meal of things'.
And Sutton had warned the player he risked seeing officials stop giving him decisions.
But Cantwell uploaded a picture to Instagram showing a scar, captioning the post with 'probably a dive'.

Sutton then hit back saying: "There is a player in there and fair play to him for hitting the ground running, I am happy for Todd that he is performing."
Celtic won the title last season, finishing nine points ahead of second-placed Rangers last season.
Cantwell's side did manage one victory over the Bhoys, a 3-0 win back in May, though Celtic had already wrapped up the title by then.
But the next campaign looks set to see more fireworks between the pair if the latest exchange is anything to go by.
