Despite dropping down the pecking order since the arrival of Enzo Maresca, Disasi has continued to receive regular football in various competitions.
A total of 15 starts and two substitute outings have been made, albeit with just 365 minutes in the Premier League across six appearances.
Earlier this week, though, it was claimed that Aston Villa had agreed personal terms with the Frenchman ahead of a potential loan transfer.
Unai Emery is known to be in the market for a new centre-back, Disasi having allegedly shown preference to a switch to the West Midlands.
Waiting game for Disasi?
Nevertheless, according to L'Equipe, there has been no movement from Chelsea's side with regards to allowing Villa to finalise a deal.
That is allegedly despite Chelsea officials having already agreed with Disasi that they will find a solution for his lack of top-flight playing time.
Chelsea and Villa are seemingly yet to agree on a loan fee and the relevant potential buy options ahead of the February 3 deadline.
With Villa having already missed the deadline to sign a new centre-back ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown with Wolverhampton Wanderers, there is less urgency to complete a transfer.
However, with Villa also holding an interest in Chelsea attacker Joao Felix and only allowed to sign one Blues player on a temporary basis, it would make sense for both clubs to act proactively in an effort to resolve matters.
Why are Chelsea prepared to let Disasi leave?
Although Disasi has made regular appearances, his error during the 2-0 defeat at Ipswich Town seemingly felt like the final straw with supporters.
Just two appearances - one of them against Morecambe - have been made since December 30, even with Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile on the sidelines.
Despite being able to act as a backup at right-back, Disasi now has Levi Colwill, Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo and Josh Acheampong ahead of him in the pecking order.
A move to Villa feels like the most likely solution, even with Emery side's a direct rival for a top-five position in the Premier League standings.
