Chelsea star appears unrecognisable thanks to hair during holiday with wife and family

The Chelsea star has jetted off this summer to enjoy his time off after one of the longest seasons in memory.

It has not been an easy year for the left-back, who signed for the Blues from Brighton last summer in a deal amounting £60million.

But Cucurella has been resting up with his family abroad on a luxury holiday, quite literally letting his hair down.

And his new hairstyle will make him hard to spot given his usual frizzy barnet is missing.

Instead, Cucurella sported braids in a look that not many thought he could ever pull off.

Considering his long locks, where all that hair has gone has left many dumbfounded.

He took to social media to post pictures of himself with his partner Claudia Rodriguez and their two sons Mateo and Rio.

Claudia is a budding fashion designer who currently works in communications.

The two met during the left-back's time in Barcelona, where he came up through their academy in 2018.

They continued to date when the Spaniard signed for Getafe, a municipality in Madrid before joining up with him in England at Brighton and now Chelsea.

But Cucurella's new locks have got Blues fans hoping he can bounce back from a horror season and become a hit.

One fan wrote on social media: "It's comeback season."

And another supporter said: "He's actually going to play well now that his hair ain't in the way."

A third posted: "I like this guy, I didn't realise he had ears."

While this fan said: "He looks way better now."

However, Cucurella's future might not be at Stamford Bridge next season with Newcastle interested in his services.

But any move away might leave a burning hole in Todd Boehly's pocket considering the size of the transfer fee mooted.
