Carson was part of the Manchester City squad who claimed their first Champions League trophy against Inter in Istanbul on Saturday night.
Amazingly, Carson was also a member of the Liverpool squad that acheived Champions League glory against AC Milan in the same stadium in 2005.
The victory has seen the 37-year-old equal Italian great Paolo Maldini, who also had an 18-year gap between his first and fifth competition wins.
The Manchester City third-choice goalkeeper addressed a tweet claiming he is a two-time Champions League winner without playing a minute of football.
But Carson was in no mood to let the claim slide and hit back tweeting: "90 minutes quarter final do your research lad."
His tweet referred to the 2005 quarter-final first-leg clash with Juventus at Anfield where he deputised for Jerzy Dudek against the Serie A giants.
At the time of the 'Miracle of Istanbul', Carson had only featured five times for Liverpool and went on to make just four more appearances for Rafa Benitez's side before loan spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton and Aston Villa.
City boss Pep Guardiola brought Carson in from Derby County in 2019 and could have been sporting his third Champions League medal had City overcome Chelsea in the 2021 final, when Carson was named a substitute.
Carson has featured for City just once in his time at the club, in last season's Round-of-16 clash with Portugese side Sporting, replacing Ederson when City were 5-0 up.

Despite his lack of game time, Guardiola values his goalkeeper highly and recently offered him a new one-year deal at the club.
The City boss said: "The best advice I could give to the young players is to stay around Scott Carson as much as possible in the locker room and on the pitch.
"Listen to him and pay attention'. That is the best advice and learning they can get about their future careers."
