The Denmark international, who turns 31 on June 5, made only four appearances across all competitions for the Catalan giants during an injury-hit 2021-22 campaign, scoring twice in their opening La Liga game of the season back in August.
Braithwaite now seems to have fallen down the pecking order under head coach Xavi, following the January arrivals of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore, and the forward is expected to leave Camp Nou this summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, via Fichajes, Brighton have made an initial loan enquiry for Braithwaite, while Spanish duo Valencia and Celta Vigo have also expressed their interest in the player.
The report adds that Seagulls boss Graham Potter believes the addition of the former Middlesbrough forward would strengthen his squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Braithwaite, who has scored 10 goals in 57 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions since joining the club in 2020, is under contract until June 2024.
