That's according to talkSPORT host Alan Brazil's sources at the club, claiming the recent reports over the Argentine's future at Paris Saint-Germain are not true.
Pochettino has been strongly linked with the Manchester United job as the Old Trafford club seek to appoint a new permanent head coach in the summer.
Rumours have been swirling over his future in the PSG dugout for months, although PSG chief Leonardo recently insisted the French giants have made no plans to replace the ex-PSG player at the helm, and Pochettino himself has no plans to leave.
But, according to Brazil's contact, that is not the case and the Argentine coach is hoping to make a sensational return to north London instead.
Pochettino was relieved of his duties at Spurs in November 2019, just months after leading the club to their first ever Champions League final.
He was appointed PSG boss in January 2021, replacing now Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, but rumours have persisted over a possible return to England.
There were even reports in May 2021 that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wanted to bring the boss back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Those rumours could now intensify again after this latest gossip from former Tottenham striker, Brazil.
Reading the headlines on Friday's talkSPORT Breakfast, the host said: "Pochettino is not going to United - Man United have been warned by PSG sporting director [Leonardo] that Pochettino has no intention of leaving Paris.
"Well, I tell you right now, that is not the case.
"From the horses mouth, Poch wants to come back to the Premier [League] and he wants to come back with Tottenham."
When quizzed by co-host and Arsenal invincible Ray Parlour about Brazil's source, the talkSPORT legend remain coy.
"Never mind," he said in response.
"He wants to come back to Spurs, I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it's what he wants."
Given that the club only recently appointed Antonio Conte, although he doesn't seem to be totally happy in north London, it would be a major surprise to see both parties cut their ties so soon.
That would seemingly make the possibility of return for Pochettino a bit more unlikely, with Man United a far more likely next destination.
However, with Conte's recent public outburst putting a cloud over his Tottenham future, there are claims he could be tempted to take over at Old Trafford instead.
Currently Ralf Rangnick is in charge, but only until the end of the season when he will take up a 'consultancy' role.
Should the club go for the Argentine, then Brazil thinks Poch would be a 'fool' to say no to them.
"I'm not saying Poch won't go to [Man] United, because if he can't get back to Spurs and United want him, he'd be a fool probably to say no.
"But I do know, in his heart, he wants to come back to Spurs."
