Barcelona transfer news: Premier League duo ready to battle for former wonderkid?

As it stands, it is unclear where Fati would fit into Postecoglou's squad, with Son Heung-min, Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Mikey Moore all realistically ahead of him. Furthermore, Richarlison has just made his return from injury.

Reports have previously indicated that there is no certainty that Timo Werner will remain at the club on loan from RB Leipzig.

Premier League competition?

The report adds that West Ham United are giving consideration to trying to add Fati to their squad now that Graham Potter has taken charge.

West Ham are already in the market for a new centre-forward, a consequence of injuries to Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug, but a versatile attacker would also bolster their options.

Fati may have a point to prove in the Premier League having only made three starts and 16 substitute outings for Brighton & Hove Albion during 2023-24.
