Aaron Ramsdale had been the undisputed No. 1 at Arsenal after arriving in the 2021 transfer window.
But the signing of David Raya in the summer has brought confusion over the role, with the Spaniard starting the last two matches, including the Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven.
With a titanic match against Tottenham awaiting on Sunday, all eyes will be on Arteta over who he decides to start in goal.
However, the Spaniard has claimed that he does not know who he will pick to start in the north London derby.
When asked who will play on Sunday, Arteta said: "I haven't decided.

Arteta's decision to start Raya explained after Piers Morgan slams Ramsdale humiliation
"This is the competition, this is my job to make decisions in the best possible way for the team.
"[Ramsdale has] been very supportive and really good around the place.
"When you have to announce the line-up, it's one of the hardest things. You know players feel valued and happy when they play and when they don't it's very difficult."
Raya joined from Brentford in the summer on an initial loan, though there is an option to make that permanent at the end of the season.

Eyebrows were raised when the 28-year-old arrived at the Emirates, not least as it plunged Ramsdale's future into doubt.
There have already been links that the Englishman could leave with Chelsea among the clubs interested.
And Raya has made a fine start to life at Arsenal, as well, keeping clean sheets in both matches he has played.
Ramsdale, though, was named in the PFA Team of the Year last season and overall had a decent campaign.
Speaking after the 4-0 win over PSV on Wednesday night, Raya said: "I've just been selected for the last two games, that is just the choice of the gaffer.
"That is his choice, not my choice, and when Aaron comes in he will need to also fight for the team and to win games.
"I think it is the first time that two top goalkeepers are in the same team, so that is just part of football now.
"The gaffer wants two top players for each position, and that is what we have to work with.
"I have played the last two games and now we see what happens on Sunday."
