Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli is a doubt for the derby.

The winger was taken off in the first half against Everton after seemingly picking up a hamstring injury following his disallowed goal.

Arteta will now be sweating over Martinelli's fitness ahead of the huge game with Leandro Trossard waiting in the wings to take the Brazilian's place.

Thomas Partey is set to remain on the sidelines while Mohamed Elneny and Jurrien Timber continue their recovery from long-term injuries.

As for Tottenham, they have no new injury issues.

Rodrigo Bentancur, Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon are all moving closer to a comeback but will miss this game.

Giovanni Lo Celso is set to return to the squad next week meaning he will still be unavailable for the trip to the Emirates.

Arsenal started with David Raya in goal last time out with Arteta deciding to drop Aaron Ramsdale to the bench.

The Gunners boss explained his decision and whether the goalkeeper rotation will be happening regularly throughout the season.

He said: "It's something that has been historically done like this, but I cannot have two players like this in one position and not play them.

"It's like this. I'm a really young manager. I've been in this job three and a half years and I have few regrets with what I've done.

"One of them was that in two occasions, I felt after 60 minutes and 85 minutes, in two games, in this period, to change the 'keeper in that moment. But I didn't do it. I didn't have the courage to do it.

"But I'm able to take a winger, or a striker off, or put a central defender on to drop to a back-five and hold that result. We drew those games and I was so unhappy.
