Arsenal star thanks Ed Sheeran for 'warming up' her shirt ahead of Euro 2022

Sheeran, 31, is on a five night run at the home of football and on Saturday night showed his support to England's women.

The popular artist sparked a surprise and delighted women's football fans when he came back onto the stage for his encore in the Lionesses shirt.

Sheeran is known for donning sports shirts when ending concerts, having worn a Gaelic Athletic Association shirt when in Ireland last month, and a Welsh football shirt with Gareth Bale's name on the back when performing in Cardiff.

It is the first time he has worn a women's football shirt on stage, and it even had his name printed on the back with the No.22.

Arsenal star Wubben-Moy will wear the number at this summer's tournament and was delighted to see it on stage at Wembley.

Hosts England, are one of the favourites to get their hands on the ultimate prize.

They defeated defending champions Netherlands 5-1 in a warm-up friendly last Friday, with Lucy Bronze, Ella Toone, Lauren Hemp, and a Beth Mead brace helping them to a rampant victory.

During the tournament England take on Austria at Old Trafford, and then face Norway and Northern Ireland in their final Group A games.

The last-16 of the tournament begins on July 20, with the final taking place at Wembley on July 31 - with Wubben-Moy hoping to be there with England.

Away from the international scene, Sheeran is a huge Ipswich fan and this year renewed a deal to sponsor the club's shirts.
