The pair both scored in the same match with Newcastle, who have taken on Willock for the rest of the season, currently facing Southampton, who have Minamino among their ranks.
It was Willock and Newcastle who struck first as he scored 16 minutes into his Magpies debut as he struck home following good work on the left by Allan Saint-Maximin.
Minamino got on the scoresheet after half an hour as he blasted the ball into the roof of the net with his left foot moments after Jan Bednarek's own goal gave Steve Bruce's side a 2-0 lead.
Newcastle are in a commanding position with Miguel Almiron putting them 3-1 up as he dispossessed Ryan Bertrand, who received a dodgy pass from Southampton keeper Alex McCarthy.
So Willock and Minamino are both off to a flyer but the same can't be said for Shkodran Mustafi, who's on loan with German club Schalke.
Schalke are currently 1-0 down against RB Leipzig, the goal coming from Nordi Mukiele on the stroke of half time.
It wasn't a huge error by Mustafi but he was supposed to be marking Mukiele, who lost him when the Leipzig corner was taken.
Arsenal and Liverpool loanees Joe Willock and Takumi Minamino have wasted no time in making a mark for their temporary clubs.
