The Gunners forward netted her first-ever World Cup goal with a fine finish against China.
In the build-up to the goal, Russo pulled off an incredible piece of control, before twisting out of trouble and releasing the ball into the channel.
Later in the move, Lauren James collected the scraps and in the blink of an eye, Russo trapped the ball and unleashed a shot that trickled into the corner to give the Lionesses a perfect start in their group stage clash.
Arsenal fans are loving the goal, as well, with Ian Wright leading the acclaim on social media.
The Gunners legend tweeted: "RUSSO!!!!!!!!"

Al Hilal make eye-watering bid for Man United target Osimhen after Mbappe rejection
Just before half-time, the Chelsea star, whose brother Reece also plays for the Blues, got herself on the scoresheet with a brilliant shot from a well-worked set piece.
As for Russo, it has been some year for the 24-year-old, who is off the mark for the Lionesses at the World Cup.
After three years at Manchester United, she made the move to Arsenal in the summer.
Her goal has got them excited for what is to come ahead of next season while the Maidstone-born ace is certainly a player to get fans out of seats.
Arsenal were desperate to sign Russo earlier this year when in January they bid two world-record bids for the forward.
The second bid amounted £500,000, which would have broken the record that was set by Barcelona when they signed Keira Walsh in September 2022.
However, United rejected both offers only to lose the player for nothing after missing out on European competition.
