After beating the Citizens in the Premier League for the first time since 2015, the Gunners have a record of their own they are looking to maintain.
Not only are they unbeaten in their opening eight Premier League matches, which has left the north Londoners sitting second behind Tottenham on goals scored.
But Mikel Arteta's side haven't lost a London derby since being defeated away at Spurs in May 2022.
That 3-0 loss saw Arsenal ultimately miss out on a top four finish on the last day of the 2021/22 season.
It was one of four defeats Arsenal had against London sides that campaign.

But they were nothing short of sensational against their city rivals last campaign, as they set an English football record.
Arsenal became the first team to win at least nine London derbies out of their 12 encounters.
They ended up with ten wins against Chelsea, Spurs, Crystal Palace, Brentford, West Ham and Fulham.
Arteta's men failed to taste defeat, with the club being held to draws against Brentford at home and West Ham away.

And Arsenal have already beaten Palace away this term, while being pegged back against Spurs and Fulham at home with the two sides nicking a point at the Emirates.
That's 15 London derbies since their defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May 2022 that they are unbeaten in.
In that time, they have won 11 games and drawn on four occasions - picking up 37 points out of a possible 45 on offer.
Incredibly, Arsenal have picked up 12 more points than their closest rival has, with Brentford mustering 25 points from 15 fixtures.
Unsurprisingly, Arsenal have scored the most out of the seven London teams in the Premier League, having found the back of the net on 34 occasions.
To break that down, the Gunners score on average 2.26 per match, with Arsenal on target in every one of the 15 derbies.
And just as impressively, they have conceded the fewest goals - shipping in just 12 times, which works out to 0.8 goals a match.
Arsenal will go into their clash at Stamford Bridge on October buoyed by their impeccable defensive record on the road.
In the last seven London derbies away from the Emirates, Arsenal have kept six clean sheets.
They became the first Premier League side to win five away London derbies without conceding last season.
It is at home where they have struggled to keep the opposition out, with Arsenal failing to keep a clean sheet against a London side since December 15, 2021.
That came in the 2-0 win against West Ham, which saw Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe get on the score sheet.
Arsenal will also go into their match against the Blues full of confidence with the club boasting a great record of late against Chelsea.

Arteta has won six out of his nine meetings against Chelsea as Arsenal manager - winning on his last three trips to Stamford Bridge.
If Arsenal wish to keep up their title charge - and remain the 'Kings of London' - they will have to emerge victorious away at Chelsea for the fourth season running.
