The Paraguayan international has been a revelation for the Toon this year and is their top goalscorer with 11 goals from 25 Premier League games.

But he missed the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest before the international break after pulling up in training.
Almiron has been crucial to Newcastle's top-four challenge, but Eddie Howe might be without the winger for the Magpies' crunch clash this weekend.
What's the latest on Almiron?

After initially suffering the injury in the build-up to the Forest clash, Howe confirmed Almiron's thigh problem was 'bad' and he would be out for 'six weeks'.
If this were the case, he wouldn't stand a chance of playing this weekend but he was spotted out on the grass over the international break.
Almiron posted images and videos on his Instagram stories on a bike and running, suggesting the injury wasn't as bad as Howe feared.
Speculation among Newcastle fans intensified when a Toon supporter met Almiron at Heathrow Terminal 5 earlier this week.

The player apparently confirmed he would be fit and raring to go, which would be a boost for Newcastle.

However, Almiron took no part in the Toon's team training in Dubai over the international break and hasn't been involved with the main group since returning to Tyneside.
He could yet take part later in the week, but even if he does, it's extremely unlikely that Howe would throw Almiron in from the start.

The Newcastle boss will be asked about Almiron in his pre-match press conference later this week, but as is it stands, the Paraguayan is a major doubt for this huge game at St James' Park.
