Samara Arena

Solidarnost Arena (Russian: «Солидарность Арена»), also known as the Samara Arena, Cosmos Arena, is a football stadium in Samara, Russia. The stadium was one of the venues for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It also hosts FC Krylia Sovetov Samara of the Russian Premier League, replacing Metallurg Stadium. It has a capacity of 44,918 spectators. Samara authorities announced their design tender in late 2012 with cost estimated at $320 million.

History

The stadium design was approved (re-approved) by Glavgosexpertiza of Russia on 19 July 2017. In 2019 the stadium was second in a popular vote for the Stadium of the Year.
