Claudiu Bumba

Claudiu Vasile Bumba (born 5 January 1994) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for Hungarian club Kisvarda.

After starting out at as a senior at FC Baia Mare and FCMU Baia Mare, he moved to FCM Targu Mureș in 2011, aged 17, where he recorded his debut in the first division. In 2012, Bumba was sent out on a season-long loan to Roma Primavera, but returned to the then-renamed ASA Targu Mureș where he stayed for two additional years. After leaving the latter side, he went on to appear for teams in Israel, Turkey and Hungary, apart from having two stints in his native Romania.

Previously a Romanian international at several youth levels, Bumba earned his first and only cap for the full side in 2012, in a 4–0 friendly victory over Turkmenistan.

Club Career

FC Baia Mare / FCMU Baia Mare

Bumba made his league debut for FC Baia Mare in a 1–1 draw with Gaz Metan CFR Craiova on 10 October 2009, at the age of 15.

After FC Baia Mare's dissolution, he moved to the newly-created FC Maramureș Universitar Baia Mare, aiding the team to achieve promotion to Liga II.

ASA Targu Mureș

In the summer of 2011, Bumba moved to top league club FCM Targu Mureș. He registered his Liga I debut in a match against Dinamo București, aged 17. In October 2011 he scored a goal in a game against Sportul Studențesc to earn a draw for his team. On 25 March, in a game against Astra Ploiești, Bumba opened the score in the 44th minute. The game ended in a 2–0 victory for Targu Mures, with Andrei Cordos scoring the second goal.

In March 2012 it was confirmed by manager Maurizio Trombetta that Udinese is monitoring Bumba. In May 2012, after continuous good plays, he was included by Sport.ro in a Top 10 list of Romanian youths to watch. He was mentioned alongside names like Nicolae Stanciu, George Țucudean or Gheorghe Grozav.
