The Wrexham story is one that has been enjoyed all around the world as their famous new owners get to grips with one of the oldest football clubs in existence.

During filming their Disney Plus documentary, Welcome to Wrexham, Reynolds and McElhenney were seen discussing their budget at the start of the 2021/22 season - when their ownership began. The Deadpool star gave a typically no-nonsense response to what was at stake.
McElhenney says: "If we don't get promoted the year after that, we'll lose £1million."

Reynolds replied without skipping a beat, saying: "Okay, that's scary as f***".
Thankfully for the owners, Wrexham did secure promotion and so the task now will be to ensure that they're able to mix it with the clubs in League Two to ensure that they preserve their EFL status at the very least.
