The 36-year-old announced that he will be joining David Beckham's side in June after running his contract down at Paris Saint-Germain.

Inter Miami announced Messi as their new superstar on Saturday and have handed him his iconic No.10 jersey.

The excitement will now be building in the USA ahead of the footballing icon's first appearance for his new club.

Messi is expected to make his Inter Miami debut on Friday, July 21.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner will appear for the first time when the American outfit take on Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.

The game will take place at the DRV PNK Stadium at 8pm local time which is at 1am on Saturday morning in the UK.

Unfortunately, it will only be broadcast live on Apple TV+ which is only available in the USA and Mexico meaning UK fans cannot watch Messi's debut.

Messi is then expected to make his MLS debut a month later due to the Leagues Cup causing a break in the regular league season.

His first game will likely be on Sunday, August 20 when Inter Miami return to league action against Charlotte FC.

Miami are seriously struggling this season and are currently on an 11-game winless streak, sitting bottom of the Eastern Conference in the MLS.

So Messi's arrival can't come soon enough and he will be expected to turn his new side's campaign around.
