Tel has told the German champions that he wants to leave before the winter deadline, and Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all believed to be keen to secure his services before the window closes for business.
However, Tottenham appear to be at the head of the queue, with Spurs said to have had a £50m bid accepted for the Frenchman.
Postecoglou was asked about the situation after guiding his team to a 3-0 victory over Elfsborg in the Europa League on Thursday night, with the result securing a spot in the last-16 stage of the competition.
However, the 59-year-old was unwilling to give anything away during his post-match press conference.
"I can't tell you anything about Tel," he told reporters. "I've been focusing on getting the team prepared tonight. Other people are working in the background. As I've said all along, I'm allowing them to get on with it and when, and if, there's any news I'm sure I'll find out."
Tottenham have allegedly had a £50m bid accepted for Tel
Man United are still believed to be pushing for Tel, with the Red Devils said to be planning to move Alejandro Garnacho on before the deadline and bring in the Bayern forward as his replacement.
The 19-year-old has only managed one assist in 14 appearances for his Munich club this season, but he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 41 outings in all competitions for the club during the 2024-25 campaign.
Tottenham put their Premier League struggles aside on Thursday to advance in the Europa League, and they have finished in fourth spot in the overall table, boasting 17 points from their eight matches in the league phase.
"It's been a pretty good European campaign for us. We have had to deal with some adversity in it. Even the first game we played here I remember we were down to 10 men after about 10 minutes," said the manager.
"We have dealt with it pretty well considering the group we have got. We have put ourselves in a great position. We are through to the round of 16 and have missed the play-off game which gives us a couple of more weeks to get players back. So hopefully by the time the knockout rounds come we will have some more fit bodies to help the group and it is an exciting challenge for us."
Who could Tottenham face in next round of Europa League?
Tottenham will take on either Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, AZ Alkmaar or FC Midtjylland over two legs in the round of 16, and the North London club are considered among the favourites to win the competition this season.
The capital giants will now switch their attention back to the Premier League, preparing to travel to Brentford on Sunday afternoon, before heading to Liverpool for the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final on February 6.
