Kick-off!

We're underway at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Aston Villa can move up to seventh in the Premier League if they can build on their win in the Champions League.

But they are missing Emi Martinez and Marco Asensio.

For Brentford, they can close the gap to Villa to just one point and close in on a place in the top ten.

Here's a reminder of the two teams...

Records tumbling

This Mohamed Salah season is one of the greatest ever.

Another two goals today continue his unbelievable run.

On top of becoming the Premier League's joint-fifth all-time scorer, he's set an incredible new record.

Salah has achieved the most total points ever in a season on Fantasy Premier League - and there are still nine games to go.

And as well as that, he's also equalled the record for goals and assists in a 38-game top-flight campaign.

His 44 contributions move him level with Man City's Erling Haaland and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Full time

It's all over around the grounds!

Liverpool have come from behind to beat Southampton.

The Saints crumbled in a matter of minutes to give up their lead after the break, with Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah scoring.

Salah then netted again from the spot in the final stages to wrap up three points and extend the Reds' lead at the top.

They're now 16 points clear of Arsenal.

Brighton and Crystal Palace both won their games too, dispatching Fulham and Ipswich, respectively.

Joao Pedro's last-gasp penalty got the job done at the Amex.

GOAL! Brighton 2-1 Fulham: Joao Pedro

Brighton have won it in the 97th minute!

Joao Pedro scores from the spot after Harrison Reed concedes a penalty right at the death!

The Brazilian sends the Amex into celebration.

The final whistle will be going any second now.

That goal will move Brighton up to sixth in the table and only one point off a place in the top four.

All-time legend

Mohamed Salah is now joint-fifth in the Premier League's all-time scoring charts, equalling Sergio Aguero.

That second penalty was his 184th in the top flight.

He joins Aguero and moves to within three goals of Andy Cole, cementing his place in English football history.

His season just keeps getting better and better.

Salah has 27 goals and 17 assists in 29 games.

That's 44 goal contributions with another nine matches left in the campaign. Incredible stuff.

GOAL! Liverpool 3-1 Southampton: Mohamed Salah

Liverpool have scored again! Guess who...

It's Mohamed Salah, of course! He has another!

Salah steps up from the penalty spot again after substitute Yukinari Sugawara commits a handball in the box.

He can't complain about that, and after the referee looks at the VAR monitor, a spot-kick is awarded.

The Egyptian makes no mistake and scores his 27th of the season after only 29 Premier League games.

Wow.

GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-0 Ipswich: Ismaila Sarr

There's a late breakthrough at Selhurst Park!

Ismaila Sarr scores his third goal in the last two Premier League games and Crystal Palace lead!

The Eagles are set for a fourth straight win in all competitions, and they're incredible form continues.

For Ipswich, they'll remain in massive danger of relegation if they can't score an equaliser.

They've had 15 shots this afternoon but haven't found the net.

15 to go

We're heading into the final stages around the grounds.

Liverpool are still in front against Southampton after their incredibly quick turnaround before the hour mark.

The Saints have a tough task to come back now.

Elsewhere, Brighton and Fulham are still locked at 1-1.

And there hasn't been a goal at Selhurst Park between Crystal Palace and Ipswich as time ticks on.

The Eagles are clearly missing Jean-Philippe Mateta there.

Exclusive group

Of course, Mohamed Salah joins the record books again.

Only three players have scored 10+ goals at home and 10+ goals away from home in a Premier League season on three or more occasions.

Salah is now one of those.

He joins Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

This is a campaign that will certainly go down in history.

Chances coming

Harvey Elliott almost makes a perfect start!

His strike is kept out by Aaron Ramsdale at Anfield.

Liverpool are absolutely battering Southampton here, surely an equaliser will be coming soon.

It's wave after wave of attack from the Reds.

At Selhurst Park, Eberechi Eze's cross deflects off Dara O'Shea and beats Alex Palmer before coming off the post.

Can Liverpool turn things around at Anfield?

They've made a triple change at the break, with Alexis Mac Allister, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott coming on.

Arne Slot will be hoping those subs lift his side.

Half time

Well, well, well...

Liverpool are behind against Southampton at the break.

Despite 12 shots and 75 per cent of the ball, they trail after Will Smallbone's finish in first-half stoppage time.

This could shake things up at the top and bottom.

Elsewhere, Brighton and Fulham are level with Crystal Palace and Ipswich goalless at Selhurst Park.

Will Smallbone has scored right on half time!

The team at the top of the table are losing to the team at the bottom of the table!

Smallbone breaks into the box and makes the most of a real mix-up from Virgil van Dijk and Alisson.

The two Liverpool stars hesitate in the box and allow the Southampton midfielder to sneak in.

He then takes his time before tucking under Alisson and opening the scoring to shock the hosts.

That's his first Premier League goal!

We finally have a goal in the Premier League!

Raul Jimenez takes one touch on his chest and finishes past Bart Verbruggen to give Fulham the lead!

Still goalless

We're nearing half time in the 3pms.

And we're still yet to see a goal in any of the games.

Crystal Palace and Ipswich have been trading blows at Selhurst Park, but they haven't managed to find the net.

Liverpool are still being held by Southampton after Darwin Nunez's shot was saved by Aaron Ramsdale.

At the Amex, Bernd Leno has been the most active of the goalkeepers as Brighton push for an opener.
