Reigning champions Real Madrid will be aiming to make the perfect start to their 2024-25 La Liga campaign when they travel to Mallorca on Sunday night.

Los Blancos picked up their first trophy of the 2024-25 season on Wednesday evening courtesy of a 2-0 success over Atalanta BC in the UEFA Super Cup.

Kylian Mbappe netted a debut goal in the European affair, and the France international is now in line to make his first league appearance for Carlo Ancelotti's side this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Mallorca, who finished 15th in La Liga last term.

Status: Out

Type of injury: Knee

Possible return date: Unknown

Alaba suffered an ACL injury against Villarreal towards the end of last year, which required an operation, and he then underwent further surgery in the middle of May. The centre-back's recovery is taking longer than expected, but he is expected to be available before the end of 2024.

Eduardo Camavinga

Status: Out

Type of injury: Knee

Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Atletico Madrid)

Camavinga suffered a knee injury during a challenge with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni in a training session ahead of the UEFA Super Cup. The midfielder will now be out for the next six to seven weeks, potentially returning to action against Atletico Madrid at the end of September.
