An early strike by Richarlison's and Gylfi Sigurdsson sealed a 2-0 win for the Toffees and sparking jubilant scenes in the away dressing room.
But things look incredibly bleak for Liverpool, who have lost their last four Premier League matches and their last four home league matches for the first time since 1923.
And Reds fan David has had enough. He believes it's time for Jurgen Klopp, who guided the team to being Premier League champions last season and Champions League winners the season before, to go.
David admits he knows his belief Klopp should go will annoy Liverpool fans but perhaps what's most shocking is who he wants to be the German's replacement.
He wants club legend Sir Kenny Dalglish, who's been out of the game since leaving his post as Liverpool boss for a second time in 2012, to replace him.
But that doesn't bother David, who insists big changes are needed at his club, starting with who's in charge of the team.
He told talkSPORT: "When Jordan Henderson went off injured, it was all over. He's the only one who can get us firing and is playing in a position he doesn't normally play in.
"When he went off the team collapsed which is the story of our season. We collapsed at Villa, against Man City, Brighton, Burnley and Leicester, it's happening every week now.
"What I'm going to say is going to annoy some Liverpool supporters.
"It's about five years since Jurgen Klopp became manager, he's won all the trophies. I think either he should just resign or let Dalglish take over until the end of the season.
"Jurgen Klopp is making terrible substitutions, bringing on players who aren't good enough - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi - they're not good enough for Liverpool!
"If you're available in the summer, would you want to go to Liverpool?
"I don't see where we're going with Klopp."
Liverpool's season hit another low as they suffered their first defeat at home to Everton since 1999 on Saturday.
