After a painful 3-2 loss in "Tráfico" for the Los Angeles Galaxy against cross-town rivals LAFC, the team coached by Greg Vanney returns home to Dignity Health Sports Park, this time to face another team from the country's most populated state, the San Jose Earthquakes, in the traditional California Clasico.
The Galaxy would seem to be the overwhelming favorite to take all three points in this home game against one of the weakest teams in MLS, however, the Earthquakes have taken the victory in the last visit to the Galaxy's home.
Earthquakes took the last game at the Galaxy's home
This happened last August 20, when San Jose won in Carson, California, Jeremy Ebobisse opened the scoring in the 52nd minute for the visitors, the equalizer came with an improbable Olympic goal in the 65th minute by Víctor Vázquez and in the 71st minute Javier "Chofis" López gave the victory to the Northern California team.
This will be the 90th edition of the old California Clasico that pits two MLS founding teams in the 90's, the historical advantage corresponds to the Los Angeles Galaxy with 40 wins, 32 wins for the San Jose Earthquakes and 17 ties.
What is the current situation between the Galaxy and the Earthquakes?
