Barcelona made their preseason debut against Olot on Wednesday, drawing 1-1 in a match that saw new signings Franck Kessie and Pablo Torre play well.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the lone goal for Xavi's side, who had the upper hand for much of the match, especially on the wings.
Their first real chance came just before the 10 minute mark, Pablo Torre picking out Aubameyang with a great ball.
On 19 minutes, the former Arsenal striker rattled the crossbar after getting his head onto a great Kessie cross.
However Olot, who celebrated their centenary on Wednesday, responded soon after, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen forced into action.
After a dangerous Olot counter, Aubameyang found the back of the net after being picked out by the German goalkeeper.
Following a much needed hydration break, Olot were awarded a penalty after Mike Marmol fouled Manzano.
Eloi stepped up and made no mistake to level the match before half-time.
Pedri in the second half
Pedri came on after the break, while Ansu Fati was handed the captain's armband.
The latter picked out Alex Valle in the 62nd minute, but he couldn't hit the mark.
Alex Collado tried to leave his mark on the match with several adventurous passes, but they failed to stick, while Miralem Pjanic was another notable inclusion in the second half.
Despite late efforts from Pedri and Fati, the match ended with nothing to separate the two sides.
