Matchday 36 of the 2023-24 Turkish Super Lig season sees Kasimpasa and Antalyaspor go head to head at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadyumu on Sunday.

Both teams head into this one off the back of respective defeats last time out and will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Match preview

Kasimpasa had no answer for Istanbul Basaksehir as they suffered a 4-1 defeat in Sunday's meeting at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium.

First-goals from Dimitrios Pelkas and Davidson left Sami Ugurlu's men with a mountain to climb at half time but they did manage to pull one back early into the second half through Mortadha Ben Ouanes before Davidson and Olivier Kemen struck to put the result beyond doubt.

Consequently, The Apaches have dropped down to seventh place in the Turkish Super Lig table and their European dream currently hangs by a thread.

Awaiting them next is the challenge of an opposing outfit who have only come out on top in one of the last seven editions of this fixture.

Having recently ended a four-game home winless streak, Sunday's hosts now go in search of back to back wins in front of their fans for the first time since February.

Antalyaspor were beaten for the third time in four matches as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Pendikspor at Corendon Airlines Park on Monday.

Sergen Yalcin's men got their noses in front early on through Adam Buksa but were quickly pegged back by Mame Thiam before Halil Akbunar completed the turnaround in first-half stoppage time.

With 45 points picked up from 35 matches so far, The Scorpions sit 10th in the standings, three places and four points adrift of their next opponents.

Off the back of seven goals conceded across their last two away matches, Sunday's visitors will need to keep things tight at the back in their quest to avoid a third straight loss on enemy territory.
