The former Manchester United man saw red for two bookable offences in last weekend's encounter with Aston Villa, but the 10 men of the Tractor Boys still came away with a noteworthy 1-1 draw.
Tuanzebe will serve his one-game ban this weekend, joining Wes Burns (knee), Conor Chaplin (knee), Chiedozie Ogbene (calf) and Christian Walton (groin) on the hosts' absentee list, which Julio Enciso has also most likely joined after succumbing to a knee problem versus Villa.
However, Sammie Szmodics (ankle), Leif Davis (unspecified) and Sam Morsy (abdominal) have not yet been ruled out of the visit of Spurs, where Davis will surely replace Conor Townsend if fit enough, although the latter put in a team-of-the-week worthy showing against Villa.
Davis would rejoin Jacob Greaves, Dara O'Shea and new goalkeeping hero Alex Palmer in the backline, which should also house Ben Johnson, the most natural replacement for the suspended Tuanzebe.
Johnson started on the right-wing at Villa Park, though, and McKenna pushing him back into defence could see Jack Clarke introduced against his former club, while Jaden Philogene could fill Enciso's shoes.
Omari Hutchinson and Liam Delap are attacking mainstays, while Kalvin Phillips and Jens Cajuste ought to reprise their roles in midfield even if Morsy is cleared to feature.
Ipswich Town possible starting lineup:
Palmer; Johnson, O'Shea, Greaves, Davis; Cajuste, Phillips; Philogene, Hutchinson, Clarke; Delap
