Amorim took his first session at the start of this week, having finally received his visa, and the 39-year-old is now preparing his team for Sunday's Premier League clash with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Yoro was told on Monday that he would be in the squad for Man United's Under-21s clash with Altrincham in the National League Cup on Tuesday night.
However, the report claims that Amorim made the decision to pull him out of the squad after the Frenchman trained on Monday, hinting that he will be involved against Ipswich on Sunday afternoon.
Yoro was used as the right-sided centre-back during a training drill on Monday, and the summer arrival from Lille is expected to be the first choice in that position under Amorim, who is set to implement a 3-4-3 system.
Yoro could make Man United debut against Ipswich
Yoro is yet to make his competitive debut for Man United, as the 19-year-old suffered a fractured metatarsal in just his second appearance of pre-season against Arsenal at the end of July.
The defender has recently been back in first-team training, though, and should he come through the rest of this week's sessions without any issues, a debut against Ipswich looks to be a serious possibility.
Man United will again be without the services of Harry Maguire on Sunday due to a calf problem, while Victor Lindelof is set to be missing with the groin issue that he suffered while representing Sweden during the international break.
Matthijs de Ligt will be available, but Lisandro Martinez faces a late fitness test due to the issue, related to his hip and back, which forced him to withdraw from the Argentina squad during the November break.
Which other Man United players could return against Ipswich?
Luke Shaw is back in full training after recovering from a calf problem, and the England international is also in line to make his first appearance of the campaign against Ipswich.
Kobbie Mainoo has been out since the start of October with a muscular issue, but the midfielder is also back in training and could be included in the squad this weekend.
Tyrell Malacia handed Amorim another injury boost by playing 45 minutes for Man United Under-21s last week, but the Netherlands international has not featured for the first team since May 2023, and it remains to be seen whether he is involved at Portman Road on Sunday afternoon.
Amorim will hold a pre-match press conference on Friday, where the Portuguese is expected to discuss the injury situation at the club, while he will also be quizzed on his first two weeks as Red Devils head coach.
