The Italian was criticised by some Chelsea supporters for only making one substitution during the 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Boxing Day.
He has reacted to that by switching half of his team for the fixture at Portman Road, including handing just a second Premier League start to goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.
Meanwhile, Axel Disasi returns at right-back, with Noni Madueke also earning an opportunity despite being banished from the squad for the previous game.
There are further alterations in the final third with Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku replacing Jadon Sancho and Nicolas Jackson respectively.
Robert Sanchez, Malo Gusto and Pedro Neto are the other players to drop down to the substitutes' bench, where they are joined by Reece James after his latest hamstring injury.
Ipswich make four changes
Meanwhile, Kieran McKenna has responded to the 1-0 reverse to Arsenal on Friday by making as many as four alterations to his Ipswich side.
The most notable return is that of captain Sam Morsy after suspension, with Kalvin Phillips only being selected as a replacement.
There is also just a second Premier League start of the season for goalkeeper Christian Walton, with Arijanet Muric missing out.
Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead also start for the Tractor Boys with Ben Johnson and Sammie Szmodics only being named on the bench.
Ipswich Town XI: Walton; Burns, O'Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Morsy, Cajuste; Hutchinson, Broadhead, Delap

Chelsea XI: Jorgensen; Disasi, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Joao Felix; Nkunku
