Footage captures Soucek's brilliant reaction to Paqueta's stunner against Liverpool

Tomas Soucek couldn't hide disbelief after Lucas Paqueta's stunning strike against Liverpool.

West Ham's record signing opened the scoring just 12 minutes into the clash with the Reds following a bright start in east London.

Surging forward from midfield, the Brazilian star played a perfect one-two with Michail Antonio before lashing a fierce, right-footed effort past Alisson Becker in the Liverpool goal.

Despite getting the most minor of deflections off Virgil van Dijk, Paqueta's effort was an absolute screamer and left supporters and his teammates stunned at what they had seen.

One of the most notable reactions was from Czech midfielder Soucek who was seen with his head in his hands after seeing the 25-year-old's effort make the net ripple.

West Ham are desperate for a good result at the London Stadium as they continue their battle against the drop.

A victory over Jurgen Klopp's would see them move as much as nine points clear of the relegation zone.
