FOUR Liverpool stars join Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar on shortlist to be named FIFA Best Men's Player, Arsenal ace Miedema up for women's award

Thiago Alcantara, who joined the Reds during the summer transfer window, along with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are in the running for the top gong after a wonderful 2020 for Liverpool.

They won their first ever Premier League title - their first top-flight championship in 30 years - last season, and currently sit level on points with league leaders Tottenham in the 2020/21 campaign.

Jurgen Klopp is in the running for the Best Men's Coach award, and his four players will battle it out to be named best player.

They have some elite challengers, however.

Man City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is the only other Premier League player on the shortlist, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Robert Lewandowski, Sergio Ramos and Kylian Mbappe also included.
