The Premier League leaders were beaten 4-1 on penalties on Tuesday following a 1-1 draw on aggregate.
PSG levelled the tie through Ousmane Dembele just 12 minutes into the second leg, with no goals following in extra-time.
It has now emerged that a group of French players, including former international Jeremy Menez, were 'kicked out' by stewards.
The group had celebrated Dembele's goal, causing home supporters to alert nearby staff.
It is understood that the group were then asked to leave the stadium around the 65th minute.

Fellow former France star Samir Nasri revealed details of the incident on Canal+'s coverage.
He explained: "A thought for those who were kicked out of the stadium too.
"Jeremy Menez was at the match, he was asked if he was French. After his answer, they told him to leave the stadium, in the 70th minute no less."

The 35-year-old was joined by ex-Toffees striker Oumar Niasse and former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Sharing footage of the PSG players celebrating on the pitch, Gueye wrote on Instagram: "Incredible, what a match, go Paris."
Luis Enrique's side secured their quarter-final spot during the shootout as they triumphed 4-1.
