The Catalan giants finished second in La Liga last season, and head coach Xavi will be desperate to help his club close the gap on Los Blancos in the upcoming campaign.
The season is starting earlier than usual due to the 2022 World Cup, which will take place in November and December.
August 12 will be the official start date of the new La Liga campaign, while the final set of fixtures will be held on June 4, with all matches kicking off at the same time.
Barcelona will take on Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad and Real Valladolid in the first month of the campaign, while the first El Clasico against Real Madrid at Bernabeu will be in the middle of October.
The Catalan side will play just twice in November, while their only league fixture in December will be the Catalan derby with Espanyol at the end of the month.
