Simon Falette

Simon Augustin Falette (born 19 February 1992) is a Guinean professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Turkish club Hatayspor.

Club Career

Falette started his career with Lorient, where he was loaned out to Laval and Brest, then he joined the latter on a permanent transfer in 2014. Later on, he played for Metz, then he went to Germany to play for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017, where he was also loaned out to Fenerbahce in 2020.

On 5 October 2020, Falette joined Hannover 96. He joined Hatayspor in 2021.

International Career

Falette was born in France to a French Guianan father, Albert, who was also a footballer, and a Guinean mother. He was called up to the French Guiana national football team in 2015. In October 2018, he was approached by the Guinea national team, on the basis that his grandmother was born there. He made his debut for Guinea on 18 November 2018, in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ivory Coast.
