Henry William James Charsley (born 1 November 1996), better known as Harry Charsley, is an English-born Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mansfield Town.
Club Career
Everton
Charsley joined Everton at the age of 9. In May 2014, he helped the side win the Under-18 Premier League title in the 2013–14 season. After progressing through the ranks of the Academy, he signed his first professional contract with the club, signing a two-year contract on 18 July 2014.
Charsley continued to progress at Everton's U18 side, where he won the Under-18s Player of the Season, as well as, winning the club's Goal of the Season. In July 2016, Charsley signed a contract extension with the club, keeping him until 2017. After scored three times in the first fives matches for the U23 side in the 2016–17 season, He then scored his first goal in the EFL Trophy against Blackpool, in a 5–4 defeat in the penalty shoot-out after the game was finished with a 1–1 draw on 8 November 2016. Then, in April 2017, Charsley signed a contract extension with the club, keeping him until 2019.
On 6 December 2017, Charsley was named in Everton's first team squad for the Europa League match away to Apollon Limassol. A day later, he made his first-team debut, starting in a 3–0 win. Local newspaper Daily Post said about Charsley's performance, describing him as "grew in confidence at left-back."
In June 2019, it was announced that Charsley would be released by Everton when his contract expired at the end of June Despite this, Charsley was given a new short-term contract until January 2020.
Loan at Bolton Wanderers
On 12 January 2018, he moved to Football League Championship side Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the 2017–18 season, joining Everton compatriot Antonee Robinson at the Macron Stadium.
