Anel Ahmedhodzic (Bosnian pronunciation: [anel axmedxodʒitɕ]; born 26 March 1999) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Allsvenskan club Malmo FF and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Ahmedhodzic started his professional career at Nottingham Forest, before joining Malmo FF in 2019. Later that year, he was loaned to Hobro IK.
A former Swedish youth international, Ahmedhodzic even made his senior international debut for Sweden, only to switch his allegiance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2020.
Club Career
Early career
Ahmedhodzic came through youth academy of his hometown club Malmo FF, which he left in January 2016 to join English side Nottingham Forest. He made his professional debut against Newcastle United on 30 December at the age of 17.
Malmo FF
On 28 January 2019, Ahmedhodzic returned to Malmo FF for an undisclosed transfer fee. He made his competitive debut for the team against Helsingborg on 2 June.
