The Red Devils are experiencing a disappointing campaign, with Ruben Amorim's side languishing in 15th place in the Premier League table.
Amorim has found life difficult since taking over the reins at Old Trafford in November, having seen his team win just four of his 15 Premier League games in charge (D3, L8).
Man United did at least show character in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Everton, scoring twice in the final 20 minutes to rescue a point at Goodison Park.
However, the Red Devils had to rely on midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte to find the net at the weekend rather than one of their attackers, highlighting one of the factors behind their struggles this term.
Man United 'losing patience with Hojlund
Hojlund is among those who have struggled to find the goal this season, having netted on just two occasions in 21 top-flight appearances.
According to Manchester Evening News, Man United coaches are 'losing patience' with the Denmark international following his run of poor form.
The report claims that one member of Amorim's coaching staff was 'particularly scathing' about Hojlund's underwhelming display in the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.
Hojlund played the full duration of the match against Spurs - partly due to the youthful nature of the bench - but he only managed to register 23 touches throughout the course of the narrow defeat.
The 22-year-old has failed to score in his last 16 competitive appearances since he netted a brace in a 2-1 Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen on December 12.
Meanwhile, his most recent Premier League goal took place on December 7 when he scored in the first half of a 3-2 home defeat against Nottingham Forest.
Is Hojlund's Man United future in danger?
Hojlund has a long-term contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend by a further 12 months.
However, the Red Devils could be tempted to entertain offers for Hojlund in the summer transfer window if he fails to prove himself between now and the end of the season.
At the very least, the Dane is set to be knocked down the pecking order, with Man United keen to sign a new striker before the start of the 2025-26 season.
They have been linked with a number of potential forward targets, including Sporting Lisbon marksman Viktor Gyokeres and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galasataray.
The 20-time English champions are believed to be receiving 'weekly updates' on Gyokeres and Osimhen ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
