With new head coach Ruben Amorim making the switch over from Sporting Lisbon during the international break, Amad will be hoping to cement his place at the forefront of the Portuguese's plans.

Man United to offer Amad £90,000-per-week deal?

According to The Sun, Amad's impressive performances during the opening months of the 2024-25 term are set to land him a lucrative new deal at Man United.

The former Rangers loanee's current terms at Old Trafford expire at the conclusion of the season, although the Red Devils possess the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

It is understood that Man United will not be exercising this option, though, instead wanting to tie Amad down on a fresh long-term agreement.

After his goalscoring antics against PAOK, it is believed that the Ivorian will be offered a bumper five-year contract at the Theatre of Dreams.

Amad's weekly salary will supposedly rise from £29,000 to an eye-watering £90,000 as his importance to the first-team plans increase week-by-week.

Will Amad shine under Amorim?

If Amorim sticks with the system that delivered him plenty of success at Sporting Lisbon, Amad will be given a different role compared to the one under former boss Ten Hag.

The Portuguese coach prefers to operate in a 3-4-3 formation, with wing-backs and a pair of attacking midfielders floating around a central striker - either Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee in Man United's case.

Amad, as a result, will likely be asked to play in more central areas under Amorim, with the wing-backs tasked with providing the width in the system.

As a shown by his excellent move inside and curling finish on Thursday night, the 22-year-old has the ability to work in tight spaces and provide moments of game-deciding magic.
