Manchester United could be without the services of 11 first-team players for Sunday's FA Cup fifth-round clash against Fulham, with Alejandro Garnacho emerging as an injury doubt for the Red Devils.

Garnacho picked up a knock shortly before being withdrawn against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Wednesday night, and head coach Ruben Amorim has revealed that the Argentina international will need to be assessed on Saturday before it is decided whether he will be in the squad for the clash with Marco Silva's side.

"When he went to shoot, when it was blocked almost inside the box [against Ipswich]. He has a knock, I expect him to be ready but we will see, I have to wait until tomorrow," said the Man United head coach during his press on Friday.

Amorim also revealed that Garnacho will pay for a team dinner as his punishment for his angry reaction to being substituted against Ipswich, but the Portuguese insisted that there is no issue between the two.

Man United had been hopeful of recovering some of their injured players for the game against Fulham, but Amorim has revealed that it is likely to be the same group that were available against Ipswich, minus the suspended Patrick Dorgu.

"No, I think no one different is back," Amorim added. "They are still trying to recover to help us in the next games.

"It's really important for us [the FA Cup] but nowadays everything is important. Like the last win, just the feeling of winning, the way we work in the last days is completely different. So, we want to go to the next stage, to have two wins at home, especially at home, we need that feeling."

Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo are both out for the season through injury, while Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Toby Collyer, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans are also unavailable for selection.

Dorgu will return to the squad for Thursday's Europa League last-16 first leg against Real Sociedad, but it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will be further boosted for that contest.

Amorim hails "very important" Dorgu after red card

Amorim also said that Dorgu will be "a very important player" for Man United, with the Denmark international being backed to recover from his red card against Ipswich, which will see him miss the team's next three domestic matches.

"It is like business as usual. Of course, you don't want him sent-off because it is hard to play with ten men and we lose him for three games. Everything at United is a big issue," said the manager.

"I don't need to say anything to him. He is frustrated and sad, but he is working [towards] the next games. He is going to be a very important player for us."

Dorgu will sit out Man United's next two Premier League matches against Arsenal and Leicester City, with his next outing in England's top flight potentially coming against Nottingham Forest on April 1.
