After they suffered a surprise defeat against Fulham, Liverpool returned to winning ways in last Sunday's home clash against West Ham United.

Luis Diaz saw his opener cancelled out by an Andy Robertson own goal, before Virgil van Dijk netted an 89th-minute winner to seal a 2-1 victory, putting Liverpool on the brink of winning their 20th top-flight title.

In fact, Liverpool could win the title this weekend if they beat Leicester and Arsenal lose in their away meeting with Ipswich Town.

Salah out to set new record

While Salah's main focus will be on the title, he will have the chance to set a new Premier League record at the King Power Stadium.

The Egypt international could become the first player in Premier League history to score in all six matches against promoted teams in a single season.

Salah is on the brink of history after scoring in each of Liverpool's five previous games against the three promoted teams this term.

The forward scored a goal apiece in home and away victories over Ipswich Town, while he found the net in December's 3-1 win over Leicester in December.

Salah also registered braces in both Liverpool's league matches against Southampton, helping his team win 3-2 in November's away clash, before netting another double in March's 3-1 victory at Anfield.

Liverpool star eyeing assist record

The 32-year-old is also closing in on the Premier League record for the most assists in a single season, which is currently held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

Henry recorded 20 assists for Arsenal in the 2002-03 campaign, before Man City's De Bruyne emulated the feat in the 2019-20 season.

Having registered 18 assists in 32 league appearances, Salah needs two more to equal the current record and three more to surpass Henry and De Bruyne.

Salah is also close to equalling Henry's record of four Premier League Golden Boots, with the Egyptian currently leading the division's scoring charts with 27 goals.
