Leicester announce Dawson, Alcock departures following Brentford battering

Three days after the defeat to Brentford at the King Power Stadium, Leicester have announced significant departures from their coaching ranks.

The Foxes released a statement to their official website, which reads: "Leicester City has today parted company with first-team coaches Ben Dawson and Danny Alcock.

"Both Ben and Danny joined the club at the start of the 2024-25 season, serving under both Steve Cooper and Ruud van Nistelrooy, while also overseeing a brief spell in interim charge of the first-team squad.

"We place on record our thanks to Ben and Danny for their contribution and service and wish them both well in the next steps of their respective careers."

Who comes in and could Van Nistelrooy be next?

With two major parts of the Leicester coaching staff axed, understandably there will be questions regarding the future of manager Van Nistelrooy.

However, it appears that the Foxes are set to retain the services of the Dutchman for the time being as they look to turn their fortunes around.

The East Midlands outfit are currently occupying 19th position in the Premier League standings, five points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers in the relative safety of 17th spot.
