Jack Grealish did not hold back during Manchester City's Premier League title celebrations on Monday.
The former Aston Villa star was in a joyous mood as City had just defended their Premier League crown during his first season at the club, following his 105.75 million pound move to the Etihad Stadium last summer.
The England international was drinking beers and vodka cokes throughout the parade, and it showed in his hoarse voice as he joked with his teammates and the press.
Grealish took aim at his teammates Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez, who both started the game against Villa on the final day but didn't performing to their usual high standards.
Both were taken off by Pep Guardiola in the second half. The changes were inspired, as Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan proved vital to the comeback and the 3-2 victory.
Grealish mocks Almiron
Silva was behind the camera and asked Grealish what the key was to the win over Villa. Asking that question backfired and also led to some random stick for Newcastle United playmaker Miguel Almiron.
"There were two secrets... number one: Riyad [Mahrez]. Take him off the pitch, as soon as possible. He played like [Miguel] Almiron yesterday," Grealish responded.
"Number two: [pointing at Silva] He's been so good this season, get him off the pitch."
The Portuguese midfielder then came up with a third secret, adding: "Number three: keep Jack Grealish on the f****** bench."
The exchange led to a lot of condemnation from Newcastle fans about Grealish's stray shot at Almiron. Others suggested it was just a light-hearted joke that needn't be taken too seriously.
Grealish took another swipe at Silva earlier in the day when he ended a thank you speech by criticising the former Monaco midfielder's performance.
"I want to thank everyone, but the main person I want to thank is Silva for coming off in the [68th] minute, because he was miles off it yesterday!" he said.
