Since making his international debut for Portugal as an 18-year-old back in August 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo has faced Denmark a total of seven times across all competitions, including one friendly and six competitive encounters.

Ronaldo was unable to find the net when Denmark beat Portugal 4-2 in a friendly held in Brondby in September 2006, but he did provide an assist for a first-half equaliser scored by Ricardo Carvalho.

That is one of two assists Ronaldo has registered against Denmark, while he has also scored three goals to date, all in European Championship qualifiers.

In October 2010, Ronaldo provided an assist for Nani before scoring his first goal against Denmark in a 3-1 home victory in Euro 2012 qualifying.

Ronaldo was also on target in the reverse fixture just over a year later, scoring a consolation goal - albeit a sensational 30-yard free kick in the 92nd-minute - in a 2-1 away defeat.

The forward's most recent goal scored against Denmark was a dramatic 95th-minute winning header in a narrow 1-0 Euro 2016 qualifying victory away from home in October 2014.

As well as the aforementioned friendly, Ronaldo has faced Denmark in three competitive games without scoring or providing an assist despite playing the full 90 minutes on each occasion.

Ronaldo played in Portugal's 1-1 draw with Denmark in a 2010 World Cup qualifier in September 2009, as well as a 3-2 group-stage victory at Euro 2012 and most recently in a narrow 1-0 home win in Euro 2016 qualifying in October 2015.
