Chelsea Women will face Everton Women for the second time in a week when the two sides go toe-to-toe in Sunday's Women's Super League fixture.

The hosts will be looking to enjoy more success against the Toffees after claiming a 4-1 home victory in last Sunday's Women's FA Cup clash.

Match preview

Chelsea are dreaming of winning the quadruple in Sonia Bompastor's first season in charge, with the Blues trying to balance the Women's League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League alongside their WSL title defence.

The Blues already look well set to win a sixth consecutive league title, having dropped just two points in their 13 WSL matches to establish a seven-point lead over second-placed Manchester United.

They were made to work hard for all three points in their most recent league outing against Aston Villa on February 2, with an 82nd-minute own goal proving enough to clinch a narrow 1-0 victory.

The Blues followed that result with a 2-0 victory over West Ham United in the Women's League Cup semi-finals, before they came from behind to beat Everton 4-1 in their recent Women's FA Cup fifth-round tie, which came courtesy of goals from Catarina Macario, Mayra Ramirez, Maika Hamano and Sandy Baltimore.

After maintaining her 100% home record, Bompastor will be looking to oversee a 14th consecutive home victory when her side Everton again in Sunday's WSL fixture.

Everton suffered a fourth consecutive away defeat in last Sunday's cup meeting with Chelsea, ensuring they will have to focus solely on their league campaign for the remainder of the season.

The Toffees occupy eighth position in the WSL table after winning three, drawing four and losing six of their 13 league matches this season.

Brian Sorensen's side enjoy success in their most recent league outing, with Kelly Gago netting a brace alongside goals from Katja Snoeijs and Honoka Hayashi to fire the Blues to a dominant 4-1 home win over Everton.

That impressive result made it four consecutive home league games without defeat since the Toffees suffered a heavy 5-0 loss to Chelsea in November.

However, they have struggled to produce similar success on the road, having drawn two and lost four of their six top-flight away matches this season, meaning they are one of four teams yet to win a WSL away game in 2024-25.

Team News

Chelsea are expected to be without the services of Naomi Girma, Sophie Ingle, Kadeisha Buchanan and Mia Fishel, while goalkeeper Zecira Musovic will not play again this season after announcing her pregnancy

Defender Nathalie Bjorn will hope to prove her fitness in time for Sunday's fixture after finishing the cup win over Everton with a hamstring issue.

England international Lucy Bronze is set to return to the fold, having recovered from an injury which has kept her out of the last three matches.

Meanwhile, Everton are unable to call upon long-term absentees Megan Finnigan, Aurora Galli and Inma Gabbaro due to anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

Clare Wheeler will not be available for Sunday's away clash, with the midfielder hoping to return to action after the international break.

Melissa Lawley is pushing for a starting berth after featuring as a half-time substitute in last weekend's cup defeat to Chelsea.

Chelsea Women possible starting lineup:

Everton Women possible starting lineup:
